A Discovery of Witches Tarot or Oracle Spread

I’m a little late to the A Discovery of Witches party because no one told me it was basically a hot witchy Twilight for grown ups!

Had I known I would have been all over it like a pash rash!

Gosh, that reminds me, I haven’t made a Twilight spread yet! :O Stay tuned this needs to be rectified!

But anyway, A Discovery of Witches is a must-see or read for any witchy folk.

Powerful witches, magical old books, hot vampires, demons who actually seem nice (so far) a battle between good and bad witches, super cool aunts, and did I mention TIME TRAVEL?!

The story begins with a witch, Diana Bishop, who doesn’t think she really has any magical powers, but she soon begins to awaken what’s been lying dormant, activating her magic, her powers and becoming who she was always meant to be.

So, if you’d like to activate a little dormant magic that’s waiting within you, grab yourself a deck - tarot, oracle, angel, whatever you have on hand, pour yourself a coffee or a big glass of red wine (there is so much wine drinking in this show!) and give this spread a try!

If you’re a bit witchy and you have Netflix, you’ve probably been binging Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. If you haven’t, go and do it right now. It’s bloody brilliant!

As a 90’s teenager I was a huge fan of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I had blonde hair back then and I pretty much thought I was Melissa Joan Hart. And although I miss talking Salem, I’m loving this super dark and creepy update!

I created this spread to help you tune into your own witchiness, your inner Sabrina and to help you balance both light and dark within.

When I did the spread for myself it was epic! I got all majors and some powerful messages! :o This isn’t just a quirky pop culture tarot spread, this really works to help you tune in!

Daredevil Tarot + Oracle Spread to connect you to your divine mission

I've been on a bit of a Marvel binge lately, and I gotta admit, Daredevil is my current fave (sorry Danny Rand)!

I feel like there are many parallels between Matt Murdock's story and being a witchy woo woo lightworker on a divine mission.

Like, obvs, us lightworkers and shadow workers (or whatever you like to call yourself) don't usually go out at night beating up creeps (or at least, we probably shouldn't), but the basic gist of going undercover to help the world out is kinda in the same vein.

So grab your Tarot, oracle, New Age Hipster InstaOracle or whatever cards you have lying around and get ready to tune into your own mission!

The other day I had big plans to sit down and watch Twilight with a massive bowl of popcorn slathered in butter but Netflix had taken it down! Why??

So I hit the teen movies section and watched Clueless for like, the 50th time or something. OMG it never loses it's edge. In fact, it's  a movie that may even be getting better with age. It did make me pretty nostalgic for the 90's though.

Wonder Woman Tarot and/or Oracle Spread

If you're ready for the divine feminine to rise, you're going to freaking love this film.

I took my mum to see it the other day and my inner Goddess was like "yeaaaaaaaaaah giiirrrrrrrrrl" through the whole thing.

Also, did anyone else have major Atlantean flashbacks during the scenes on Themyscira? :O

Anyway, let's get down to bizniz!

This spread, inspired by Wonder Woman is perfect for trying times, times of battle or difficulty, times when you're starting to feel exhausted from fighting the patriarchy or generally when you feel you could use some Wonder Woman energy.

You can use Tarot or Oracle cards, or a combo of both. Whatever deck you have to hand is perfect. :)

Girlboss Tarot or Oracle Spread for goal-getters + big dreamers

Have y'all been watching Girlboss on Netflix?

It's the (real loose) retelling of Sophia Amoruso's dumster diving to riches story of how she became an eBay selling legend in her own lunch time with her biz Nasty Gal.

An entrepreneur after my own heart, Sophia's story was super inspiring and I thought what better way to connect to my own inner girlboss than through a Tarot (or Oracle or whatever cards you want to use!) Spread?

So grab your favourite deck, your journal and a cuppa and let's tune into our big dreams!

Here's one I made earlier with the Cosmic Tarot x

Card one: What's your current greatest strength?

I added "current" to this because it changes right? This card will let you know what strength you're working with right now, what strength you can call on to help you make your dreams come true.

I got the Devil. Whaaat? But actually this is pretty cool, because it means my current strength is breaking the chains that have been holding me back, and helping others to do the same! Wahoo!

Card two: What are your potential distractions?

When you're working towards your dreams you can be sure distractions are going to come up from time to time. This card will show you what to watch out for.

The Emperor reversed for me suggests that time management and general organisational skills can be my downfall! Oh, and a reminder not to get carried away with stationary shopping.

Card three: How can you stay focused on your goals and dreams?

Oh it's hard to stay focused on your big dreams some days! This card will give you some insight into how you can stay on track.

I got the Queen of Pentacles reversed.  A message for me to make sure I'm focusing on the right things. Not getting too caught up in my own abundance stuff, but creating from the heart.

Card four: What is your big why?

The big why for me is the real reason for why I'm doing what I'm doing. This card can help you work out what you're really hustling for.

I got the Sun! Naaaw. My big why is all about spreading the love and light, shining the light for others and being happy. :)

Card five: How can you keep strong and loving boundaries?

Having great boundaries is one of the best ways to protect your own energy and keep your cup full. This card will clue you into the best way for you to do that at this time.

I got the Queen of Wands. I can maintain my boundaries by saying yes to the things I really want to do, and gracefully saying no to to things that don't fire me up. Follow the fire!

Card six: What step/s do you need to take towards your dreams?

Pretty straight forward, here comes your action steps towards making this shiz happen!

I got the Five of Pentacles reversed. Ah, still some work to do around my own money stuff, beliefs, programming and fears. My action steps are internal, but yours could be more external!

13 Reasons Why Spread for Tarot + Oracle x

13 Reasons Why is my current Netflix crush.

If you need a heads up, the story is basically about Hannah, a girl in High School who commits suicide and leaves behind a bunch of tapes that share her story, the people and events that contributed to her decision.

There has been some controversy around the fact that the show doesn't really explore the issue of depression and mental illness and instead just focuses on the bullying she experienced. I do agree with this personally, but I also think it's a great show in that it challenges us to think about how we interact with others, and how this may affect them more than we realise.

This spread gives us an opportunity to check ourselves when it comes to our own relationships.

Riverdale Tarot + Oracle Spread x

K, so I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one obsessing over the mystery of Jason Blossom down in Riverdale.

You probably knew it was only a matter of time before I created a Riverdale Tarot Spread, especially if you read my newsletter and are probably already sick of hearing about this "Riverdale" show.

I don't know why this show is so cool. It's like the characters from the Archie comics walked onto the set of Pretty Little Liars, and even though it should so not work, it totally does! I'm hooked.

Also, Luke Perry.

Anyway, whether you're a fan of the show or have no idea what I'm on about, doesn't matter. This is all about you and your own personal mysteries that need solving!

When trying to solve a mystery it's good to know who or what you can trust. This card will let you know who or what you can rely on.

I got waterfall and this feels like a reminder to trust the flow and cycles of my life, and also to trust all those magical downloads. To trust also it's OK to just stand still for a moment and figure out the next step.

Card three: who/what do you need to be discerning about?

Sadly, we can't always trust everyone and everything around us, especially when we're trying to solve mysteries. :/

I got Pier here, and this feels like I need to be discerning about staying too much in my comfort zone! Gah!

Card four: what truth lies at the heart of this mystery?

Ah the truth card! What is the truth of what's going on for you in your inner Riverdale right now?

I pulled Sunrise and this feels like light being shone on the path ahead! Hoorah! The mystery has been solved - just trust that light will be shone ahead of you. :D

Card five: how can you acknowledge this truth and move forward?

Acknowledging the truth can be hard, especially when it's something we really don't want to hear or deal with. This card will help you deal.

I got Rules. This feels like trusting my path and staying on the path, even when my inner teenager is like - screw it let's run away! :D
