Non-Negotiables

Scrolling through my Facebook feeds these last few days I keep coming across Louise Androlia's 10 Non-Negotiables. She asked on FB what our non-negotiables are and I realised I didn't really have any... Yikes! So I made some and I hope these inspire you to make your own! :-) <3 Wear whatever I want to wear.

I don't buy into fashion and fads unless I love it - hello neon yellow. Clothing and style is self-expression and although we have to dress 'appropriately' at times, we can still do that in the confines of dressing creatively. You can wear hot pink to the office, and sequin plimsolls are always cool even though they kind of blind people in the street. Oh yeah, but this also comes with not judging others for what they wear too!

10563124_694846903929371_8120980957554205401_n

<3 Be alone

As some kind of introvert I need alone time. I'm not talking about like hours spent in a cave, but more like taking a long shower, or enjoying the alone-ness on the drive to work. Even shopping alone counts as alone time right?

<3 Spend money on that which I value

I'm working on this! It's super important to me and I'm doing OK. I'm trying really hard to make sure I question my purchases and weigh up the value before hitting buy, but I still have lapses... I probably have lapses on everything on this list, but that's OK because I'm human...

<3 Remember - It's OK because you are human...

This one is about not beating myself up for doing 'human things' like spending too much at Topshop or rolling my eyes at fellow motorists.

<3 ...But always try to be better

Learn from my mistakes and every day try to be a better person than I was yesterday, like consciously try not to roll my eyes at motorists or spend too much at Topshop.

<3 Be kind

Always be kind, especially to the people who make your coffee. And be kind to animals, even if you don't like spiders try not to kill them.

<3 Live with a grateful heart

I try to make gratitude lists but I'm not that good at keeping the routine. So instead I try to live with a grateful heart in every moment in every day. OK so sometimes that's hard, especially when someone is on your back or pissing you off... but there is always something to be grateful for, even if it's just tea, or trees or being alive. When drinking a cup of tea I often mentally think - 'I love tea!' and doing that all day about everything is a pretty nice way to go about your day.

<3 Feel joy!

As a 3 life path my life purpose is to be in joy and spread joy so having fun, being silly and enjoying life is totally non-negotiable!

<3 Not apologising for who I am

I'm not sorry I'm a nerd, geek, weirdo, dress like a teenager, tarot reader, angel communicator, wannabe YA fiction author, 80's enthusiast, karaoke queen, pole dancer, not a natural redhead, tree hugger, Unicorn lover, Jesus crusher (I mean I have a Jesus crush right, not that I actually would crush him), star person, possible Atlantean, incarnated angel and part elemental, not really cool enough to be an actual hipster even though I call this page new age hipster, and I like Taylor Swift. #sorrynotsorry!

10421145_672435309503864_7327334543913971743_n

<3 Connecting with the 'divine'

Every day I do something to connect with God/Universe/Whatever you want to call it. Whether it's Tarot, pulling an Angel card, having a chat with whoever's around me from the light while I'm getting ready for my day, oh - and always asking for protection and getting in my golden bubble!

1504095_695334430547285_3327566160890095655_n

OK, now it's your turn! What things are non-negotiable for you?!

Love, light and non-negotiable lists!

The Week Ahead - Filling up!

10590413_693867610693967_3602375258438122113_n OK first of all, let's talk about my new deck! You know I'm obsessed with buying new decks right now and I need to find a way to control it, but this is a deck I've had a crush on for ages! The Art Nouveau Tarot by Matt Meyers from 1989. It's so 80's and I'm so in love with it! Maybe I should do a deck review?!

So what's going on this week? Well this Queen of Cups is different than the usual Rider Waite Queen who stares at her cup almost obsessively. Here we see a much more open Queen who looks like she wants to give us some of her water. But she can't give us anything if she doesn't fill her cup first... and that's the message for this week - we need to fill our cups!

So I've been cracking on with these free readings of which I still have nearly a hundred requests waiting for me in my inbox (thanks for your patience!) and although I am loving every minute of it I am totally stressed out that I'm taking too long and letting people down! But I'm getting the message now to slow down and look after myself first. So now I'm trying to do a quick reading for myself before I do readings for anyone else and put my study and practice first rather than as an after thought - you know, thinking I'll do the stuff for others first then if I've got time I'll do my own stuff.

I did a reading this week in which I saw this woman on a plane with children. I saw her having to put on her own oxygen mask before she assisted others. And that's so what we are needing to think about this week! You can't help others if you can't breathe!

A lot of us right now have a deep desire to help as many people as we can - family, friends, clients, people who read our blogs, whoever we can! We feel like we are never doing enough for others, that we could be doing so much more, and even feeling guilty when we don't feel like we're fulfilling our purpose...

But how can we fulfill anything when we are empty?!

Let's take a look at this Queen of Cups this week - she's giving, she's beautiful, she's strong and powerful, but if her bowl was empty she wouldn't be any of these things! (OK, maybe she'd sill be beautiful, she's practically a Barbie!)

So what can we do this week to fill up?! Well you know I'm seriously into lists right now so here's some ideas... :-)

<3 Take a bath - Queen of Cups - water - get it?!

<3 Drink tea! Oh we are so on the Cups vibe here...

<3 Take long showers

<3 Buy a new nail polish! Barry M is 3 free and 3 for 2 at Boots right now! Or paint your nails with the polish you already have!

<3 Watch your favourite TV show or a movie and don't feel guilty for doing it! Imagine sitting on your couch and the Universe is pouring love and light into your head while you zone out!

<3 Get a massage or get someone to give you one, or let the cat walk on your back. Haha!

<3 Get your hair done, or do it yourself!

<3 Make time to read a few chapters from that book on your bedside table

<3 Sit in the sun! (If you have any!)

<3 Have a beer or a wine and don't feel guilty! I know loads of us these days are all about the clean living, but come on, even Jesus had a tipple!

<3 Spend some time doing some tarot/angel readings for yourself! If you don't have the cards look for some blogs (like mine! Lol!) or other websites where you can get your fill! I really think that even if you look at old readings online that you can find exactly what you are supposed to in that moment. You might find some old posts on here that make sense to you in the moment!

<3 Take a selfie and revel in the 'WOW you so PRETTY/SEXY' comments

<3 Write a list of all your good features

<3 Write a letter to your 12 year old self telling her or him how amazing their life is going to be

<3 Book a holiday or a pretend Pinterest holiday

<3 Make a vision board or do some scrapbooking

<3 Clean out your closet and give old stuff to charity

<3 Make or order your favourite dinner and eat seconds

<3 Dance around your bedroom!

<3 Do whatever you need to do to 'fill up'!

And once we find the balance between filling up and pouring out we'll be like those guys who play the bagpipes doing circular breathing; they don't stop to think about if they are breathing in or out, it just happens.

Love, light and glasses full,

Vix

Lessons from the Louniversity

IMG_4068

When I signed up for Louise Androlia's Energy Awareness + Surrender Session double whammy I wasn't totally sure what to expect, but I've been following her blog for a while and reading my Tarotscopes every month so I knew that whatever lessons I was going to learn would be totally on my frequency.

Louise is an energy guru and I was so excited to hear her take on how to work with energy. As an empath - you know, those of us who pick up all the energy crap floating around in the air, I have struggled with being able to block negative energy for years. I'm that kind of person that feels what other people feel... If I'm next to someone on the train who is grumpy, I get grumpy! Don't even get me started on how it affects me when someone barges past me in the street - it makes me so damn ANGRY! And I've only recently realised that it's not because it really makes me angry, it's because the person who barges you in the street is generally a very angry person, someone who is angry at life and everything that happens to them... OK, some people do it accidentally but usually they give you a look or say sorry and that's totally a different thing...

When you live your life this way things can get heavy. Constantly picking up on other people's energy is sooooo draining and when we feel drained we don't spend time with friends, we don't crack on with creative projects and we end up living our lives from home to work to home to TV to dinner to bed to work again...

So what do we do about it?! You can do all the visualisations you've read about - the bubble, the mirrors, the cloak. You can buy a bunch of protective crystals - I've been wearing a smoky quartz and that seems to help! You can focus your intention - if you begin to be aware of picking up on energy you're already going to pick up less! But if you are just starting out with this stuff, or if you need a boost to what you are already doing Louise's energy workshops sure will help!

Being surrounded by a bunch of self aware women looking to add something to their personal and spiritual development all afternoon was in itself inspiring and empowering.  Louise lead us through a bunch of energy awareness exercises and continuously dropped so many enlightening phrases and ideas at us so fast I couldn't keep up with my notes! Not only did she share her thoughts and visualisations but there was a real sense during the afternoon that we were all there together, learning from each other as much as we were learning from her. We shared our own ideas, concerns and worries about shielding ourselves and it was the perfect supportive forum to be able to ask anything!

IMG_4063

I'm always usually the person up the back of these workshops just chilling, taking notes and keeping to myself, but when Louise asked if anyone wanted to share something they wanted to surrender I felt my hand go up before my brain even thought it was a good idea. I wasn't worried about what anyone was going to think of me and my thing I wanted to surrender because I knew in that moment in that room I was surrounded only by people who were there to support, uplift and encourage each other on our journeys.

Now not everyone can pop into East London for a weekend workshop, but Louise has a fantastic blog on which she shares so many energetic insights and you can find it here.

And I thought I'd finish up this post by sharing a couple of gems I can almost make out in my notes...

<3 your intention (to protect, clear, ground, whatever!) is powerful!

<3 eat more vegetables to feel grounded - sorry guys, sugar is not grounding! :-(

<3 always be in your bubble!

<3 when you are feeling anxious it's because you are not in the present moment - you are too much in the future or the past.

<3 rejection is redirection!

<3 and if someone has something you want (success for example!), that doesn't mean there isn't enough for you too! If they have it, you can have it!

Love, light and lessons from the Louniversity,

#Caturday cat cards - Eight of Wands

10622771_693352757412119_4922404642821616687_n I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I feel like I'm working so damn hard. Thinking, planning, working on projects, blogs, writing novels, just like doing stuff in the hopes that one day I'll find some kind of success in something and make a difference to the world!

So a lot of the time I'm looking at the computer screen, or at my feet feeling dejected about the fourth rejection in my inbox from a literary agent (OK, so that's still way less than J.K Rowling), or I'm bummed out watching the Almighty Johnsons (please watch this show, it's amazing!!) because only like one person looked at my blog yesterday even though I spent ages typing up what I thought was a killer post!

But the Eight of Wands reminds us this #Caturday that just because we can't see the movement doesn't mean things aren't happening for us. Maybe my agent hasn't joined the agency yet. Maybe there are lessons to learn and blocks to bust before I can experience what society tells me is this thing called 'success'.

Maybe if we all just stopped feeling so glum about nothing happening we could look up from our falling apart leopard print Converse sneakers and see that things are happening around us all the time in the cosmic web of life we all weave and none of us can see it all! There is so much going on right now that affects us that we are so completely unaware of. Like right now someone somewhere might be packing up the ready meal that you are going to eat next week and you'll probably never even think about them...

So today let's take a breath and remember that so much good stuff is happening around you all the time even when you are feeling totally bummed, and you can never feel too totally bummed if you go look at some clouds.

Love, light and flying wands! <3

The Week Ahead - There's no place like home

photo (46) How did we all go with our spending last week?! Anyone weigh up any good purchases? I actually spent a lot more than I had planned, but it was all because I went on an impromptu trip to the seaside! A gorgeous little B&B, some nice food out and about, a few beers and a hand full of crystals - hello hand-sized rose quartz! - but it was money well spent. A weekend I'll always remember and some trinkets that will last longer than a new pair of shoes. :-)

Anyway, that's all about last week and I hope your week was totally wonderful but right now we're looking ahead to this coming week! I pulled a card today from Doreen Virtue's Mary, Queen of Angels deck, which is a super cute and peaceful deck and reminds me of how I've been thinking about doing deck reviews - do people want to read deck reviews? And the card I pulled, after asking Mary for a message for anyone who sees this, is 'Home'. Ah! A week to think about home... you can clean it, you can invite people over to it, you can buy some flowers or a new picture to put in it (if it's inline with your higher self spender! Haha!) or you can even start looking for a new one if you think you're in the wrong one. Whatever it is this week we need to give a little love to our homes. They protect us, they keep us warm, they are a necessity like food and water and all we do is complain about how we don't like the carpets! (Guilty!)

When I was at the lovely Louise Androlia's workshop last weekend (I'm still half way through writing a blog post about it!) we talked about space clearing and this might be a good week to do some space clearing! Space clearing (if you're new to the idea) is how we move negative or stale old energies out of our house and replace them with new sparkling shiny ones! It's like metaphysical dusting!

Here's my top five ways to space clear!

<3 Loud pop music (anything 80's) and dancing around! Best way to get some joy into a space!

<3 Lighting a candle or a bunch of candles and letting the light shine!

<3 Fresh flowers or a new pot plant depending on your budget!

<3 Sage or incense. I'm not a huge fan of the smell of sage, it's OK, but I only use it for like serious space cleansing cases (you know like ghosts or whatever). I like to open all the doors and windows and then walk around wafting a stick of lavender incense everywhere - make sure you get it into the corners!

<3 Vacuuming! Real life vacuuming and also asking Archangel Micheal to vacuum the negative energy at the same time! Oh yeah I totes vacuum with Archangel Micheal and that so needs to be a sticker or a badge - "I vacuum with Archangel Micheal!" (That is so copy write!)

Mostly though, you have to do what feels right to you! I'd love to hear how you cleanse your space!

Let's do something nice for our homes this week, even if it's just to feel gratitude for the place we live. Remember guys - there's no place like home, there really, really isn't! :-)

If you are waiting for a free reading I thank you for being patient! I have like 70 requests in my inbox right now and doing about 5 a day! Stick with me I hope it'll be worth it!

Love, light and metaphysical dusting!

Mr Big - King of Pentacles

phonto (15)

This one is so blindlingly obvious I really don't even know if it needs to be said. But just in case - Mr Big is the King of Pentacles.

Sex and the City 2

Wanna talk about powerful dudes? Go talk about Mr Big. Not only is he powerful in the office, he's powerful in social situations, and in the bedroom. He ooooozes sex appeal (if you're into like, rich guys) and he's handsome as hell! And he's not just like a regular rich guy with a good job, this guy owns the place. He's a tycoon, a banker, he's got a yacht and it's big enough to live on while his schmucks at the office keep things under control for a month or so.

He's rich, he's smooth, he's damn charming and oh yeah, totally smug about it. Who the hell else in the world could have 'abso-fucking-luely' as their catch phrase and still have women swoon?! I mean it's so cringy really...

big8_zpsaf721088

In regular life (hey, we don't all hang out with people who own yachts) he might turn up as a an entrepreneur, a guy who studied business, real estate agents, guys who drive expensive cars, CEOs, bankers, investors, conservative guys who spend money on suits and big TVs, corporate guys, OK you get it. Also this guy is kind of predictable; you know when he's gonna cancel cocktails because something always comes up at work. He's an Earth sign, but he's no way not a hippy. He's not out hugging trees he's planning cities from his penthouse office.

So who's this guy when he's reversed? Oh yeah, he's the guy who's having an affair, making dodgy business deals, cheating on his wife and not turning up to your wedding. You seriously don't want to see this guy reversed in a reading (especially about weddings), but upright - girls and boys - you'll be in for the ride of your life! And guys if the King of Pentacles is you - WOAH - keep doing what you're doing and don't say you're going to marry anyone if you don't really feel like it.

Love, light and Sex and the City marathons,

The Week Ahead - Old robes vs Kardashian wardrobes

photo 1 (7) Another weekly reading brought to you by the suit of coins. Sorry! Last week we had the lovely tea and chat with the angels, but guess what? It's back to being kicked in the butt - no cookies on the table today!

So the question this week is - are we spending money in alignment with our higher selves? I bought some clothes on ASOS the other day, maybe I didn't really need them. Maybe I should be living a holy life in scratchy robes and old sandals. Argh! But we can't live in robes and sandals on this planet right now, not unless we go off the grid at least. In my life right now I live in a city and I work in a public place and there's a dress code. I'm not even allowed to wear sandals.

So where do we draw the line between dressing like a monk and spending like a Kardashian? How do we know how much is OK and how much is too much? Obviously our bank accounts can give us some advice about that, but using how much is in your bank account to gauge how much you can spend leads you to doing what I did last month - nearly hitting zero!

So the real question here is how do we get into alignment with 'good' spending?! Right, let's pull another card...

photo 2 (8)

Looks like we need to put our purchases on the metaphorical scale of spending Justice!

Imagine on one side of the scale sits your glowing gorgeous higher self (a mini version, obviously your higher self is bigger than can fit on a scale!) and on the other put your purchases. Do they balance out? Is your ASOS shopping spree too heavy?! Is your once a month 50p charity shop buy a little too light?!

We can also think of our higher self as a 'person' and ask them what they think of our purchases too - hold up that shirt to your higher self in the changing room and see if she/he nods or shakes her/his head. Before clicking on 'purchase' look over at your higher self standing over by the pot plant, are they giving you that look? Or are they nodding with approval - after all your higher self wants you to feel good right?! It's OK to buy stuff that will make you feel good, but spending money on crap you don't even like doesn't make you feel good!

Put your purchases on the scale and see how they line up this week! I'd love to know if this resonates and works for you guys and I'll be reporting back on my progress at this at the end of the week! :-)

In other weekly news - I still have loads of free 3 card readings to give away so hook it up if you haven't already! I've finally put up a page of Praise featuring some of the amazing and wonderful feedback I've had so far and I've started putting up some links to some of the amazing people out in the world who have helped me so much on my journey so far, check them out! One of whom is the lovely Louise Androlia who I met yesterday at her wonderful double energy + surrender workshop which I'll be blogging about in the next few days. :-)

Love, light and weighing in the spending!

#Caturday cat cards - Three of Swords reversed

photo 2 (6) Guys, it's the weekend why the hell are we looking at the Three of Swords?! This is the ultimate heartbreak card, seriously I don't want to be seeing this first thing on a #Caturday morning! Oh but wait, it's reversed... but is that any better?!

What I'm seeing today is a chance for us to let go of some of that heaviness we have in our hearts, imagine those swords are sliding out now! We are human, we've all had heartbreak and none of us is walking around with a bouncy pure happy heart, that's just not possible in these bodies! It's part of this life's experience to feel emotional pain. Total bummer, sorry guys, but it's true.

So what can we do about it?

1. Accept it. Accept that you have heartache. Don't hide from it, don't cover it with a cute heart shaped rug, look it in the face and say - hey it's OK, this is a part of me and I can work through this.

2. Forgive. Oh hello. Like it's that easy?! If you can' t totally 'forgive' whoever or whatever has hurt you that's cool, this isn't an overnight fix it trick. Just ask the universe, God, angels, guides whoever you like, to help you. What's with this forgiveness thing? OK that's like a whole post, no wait, like a book. What I learnt this week though is that we can't just forgive others, we need to forgive ourselves for how we feel about others. If someone hurt you, you can forgive them, but can you forgive yourself for the mean thoughts you've been thinking about them? Yes, you can and you need to!

3. Heart chakra cleanse! Do some work on your heart chakra this weekend! Do whatever visualisation works for you - green/pink wheels, light, hearts, flowers, whatever, but make sure you see your heart centre as beautiful!

4. Give some love. Send some love to someone; energetically or physically! Give someone a hug, send a virtual hug or an energetic hug!

5. Love yourself. Argh! What?! This is not Radical Self Love Bootcamp! (Although I love that stuff.) We are all at different stages of our self love journey. Some of us are just starting to not hate ourselves and put ourselves down so much, others are feeling much more confident these days but still struggling with certain aspects, and even those of us who are seriously into the self love thing are still having bad hair days. But it's not just about your hair...

When I started writing this post I thought it was just going to be about heart chakra clearing, but there you go - the message today is actually this:

<3 You need to start loving who you are <3

I'm off to what I think is going to be a fabulous workshop today with the lovely Louise Androlia and will be blogging all about it later so come back soon!

Also I'm still giving away free readings if you have a burning question you would like some clarity on! :-)

Love, light and loving who you are,

x
