Hey there! I’m Victoria Maxwell, but you can call me Vix!

I'm an author of spiritual books and decks and young adult fiction, tarot reader, soul reader, Akashic records guide, spiritual development teacher, reiki healer, Kundalini yoga teacher, 80's enthusiast and New Age Hipster currently living in the old Goldfields of Victoria, Australia with my super cute husband and two rescue cats - Morpheus and Niobe. (Yes, they were named after characters from the Matrix!)

My spiritual journey is, and always has been a huge part of my life.

This path has helped me to navigate this crazy human experience with more ease and grace and I am so, so very grateful that I get to help other people on their journeys for a job!

I'm a big believer that when it comes to spirituality we should all just do whatever works for us.

My spiritual path is super eclectic and always growing and evolving. I believe there are a gazillion paths to love and to connection with the divine.

I am curious about just about everything and I love exploring different aspects of spiritual wisdom from the esoteric, Ascension teachings, anything to do with positive magick, yogic teachings, mind training and whatever else finds me on the journey.

I love finding hidden gems of spiritual wisdom way down the back of second-hand book shops or random websites that haven’t been updated since the 90s.

In terms of "human" stuff, I love road trips and updating my Happy Cow reviews along the way, hunting for vintage treasures in op shops and taking long walks along the bush track near where I live.

On a rainy day you'll likely find me with my head in a Young Adult novel, chilling out with some Synthwave or watching a John Hughes movie with a big plate of vegan nachos in my lap!

Before I started running New Age Hipster I was a High School Drama/English + Special Educational Needs teacher and I also spent three very incredible years at Music Theatre School. I also have extensive experience in bar tending, waitressing, hotel housekeeping, data entry and ushering.

I’m an ethical vegan, I try to avoid fast fashion and I support ethical businesses as much as is possible.
