Mother Gaia Tarot or Oracle Spread

When you resonate as being a Lightworker, Starseed, Empath or sensitive soul it can be tough to see our planet in trouble.

As I write this we are in the midst of the worst bushfires Australia has ever seen, and while many of us have been sending money, sending prayers and raising awareness, somehow it just doesn’t feel like enough.

I created this spread for those times when things feel tough, when the world is on fire, as a way to tune into and connect with Mamma Gaia and ask her how we can help - through our magic and through our action on the ground.

So grab your eco-coffee cup, a slice of vegan chocolate pie and your favourite deck and let’s begin to create the New Earth that we know is coming.

1.How can you deepen and strengthen your connection to Gaia?

One of the biggest problems we have right now is that most of humanity is so disconnected to the land we live on. When we strengthen our connection to the earth beneath our feet we are guided by the earth mother herself, this card will show you can get back to your roots.

2.How can you ground your own light and love into Gaia? 

Grounding is not a one way thing. It’s not just about us taking earth energy, it’s also about us sending our own energy and love into Gaia. This card will give you an insight into how you can work with this exchange of energy in your grounding practices.

3.What assignment does Gaia have for you right now?

Gaia is always giving us assignments if we listen. It may be something as simple as cutting back on something you are consuming more of than you need, or it may be an assignment to send specific healing somewhere. Anytime you want a new assignment, just ask for one!

4.Where can you send your prayers, healing, light, love and magic?

Sometimes we become so overwhelmed by the state of things we’re not even sure where to direct our prayers. This card will show you where it would be most helpful for you to be sending your prayers and love at this time.

5.What changes do you need to make in your own life to support Mother Gaia?

And while prayers, love and magic are all so helpful, we also need to be making changes on the ground. This card will show you how you can align your actions in the material world to your desire to see change.

6.A step you can take today to begin to shift us all into the New Earth

New Earth is the future version of the planet in which we’ve returned to connection with Gaia and are living in harmony with the planet. Here you’ll find a message about what you can do right now, right here, today, to help shift us into the timeline in which New Earth becomes our reality.

Ah, Capricorn Season! It’s a time for setting goals, going for gold and aiming your intention in the direction of your dreams.

Dolly Parton is the perfect example of Capricorn energy! She’s a go-getter with heart of gold!

A lot tends to go on during Capricorn Season. We have the solstice, then we have the end of year holidays and then suddenly it’s new year!

But if you’re looking for a way to connect with the big goals energy of Capricorn, look no further than this spread!

You can use your tarot cards, oracle cards, angel cards, whatever you have to hand. And if you don’t have a deck, you can always use the card positions as journal prompts!

1.What goals are you going for?

You can be cheeky with this first card position - if you already have a goal or intention in mind, go through your deck face up and choose the card that most aligns with that. Otherwise, pull a card the regular way to see what goals you could be going for!

2.What is the why behind your goals?

This is often one of the missing parts when it comes to goal setting and manifestation. Do you really know why you want what you want? Sometimes when we tune into the why, we can go so much deeper into our subconscious, understand why we want this, and then we can tweak it or change it, or use that why to propel us forward!

Stopping to celebrate yourself and your successes is everything. Even if you don’t end up smashing your goals like you intended - if you showed up and gave it a try you darn well deserve to celebrate yourself for that! This card will give you some ideas on how to do that!

Creative Writing Tarot or Oracle Spread

Here’s one for all you creative writers and NaNoWriMo-ers!

Whip out a deck of cards (tarot, oracle, whatever you have will do!) and your typewriter and use this spread to help you plot out your novel, make the editing process a little less painful, or hey, if you want to get weird, you can use this spread to help you work out the story of your own life!

OK, enough about me and my story, let’s get cracking with yours!

1. What is this piece of writing about? What is the theme of this story?

Our stories can have many different themes, sometimes we don’t even know what we’re really writing about until we’ve written it. This card will give you some idea of what you’re actually writing about!

2. Who is this story about? What is their back story?

Here you’ll gain some insights into what’s really going on with your main character.

3. What is the obstacle your protagonist must overcome?

Ah, the hero’s quest! Here you’ll get some idea of the struggles, challenges and adversity your main character will experience.

4. How do they overcome this?

And how the heck are they going to do it? Knowing this is integral to writing a great story!

5. How does this change them and/or their world?

No matter how annoying a main character is, if they can change and grow and become even slightly better than they were at the start of the book, then you have made some magic!

6. How does this story end?

Will your characters get their happily ever after? Or is this just the start of a six part book series? :P x

Scorpio Season Tarot Spread

Scorpio season is upon us gorgeous souls!

I’ve got to admit, in the past this has not been one of my favourite of the seasons. I usually feel quite at home in dreamy Pisces or flighty Gemini, but intense, dark and deep Scorpio has often felt a little bit out of my comfort zone.

Ah, but that’s where the magic is, isn’t it friends? Outside the comfort zone!

Scorpio season invites us to work with our shadow, to explore our deepest desires and own our magical power. It’s a powerful time and can bring us deep healing and blessings if we let it.

Christian Witch Tarot or Oracle Spread

My post WTF is a Christian Witch has been viewed nearly 20k times this last year. It’s amazing to me how many people out there are vibing with this idea of being both a little bit witchy and a little bit Jesus-y.

I mostly just wrote that post as a way to process some of my own thoughts on the topic, so it’s kind of amazing to see just how many people resonated with it!

It was kind of a big deal to come out on the internet and tell everyone I’m a Christian Witch. Many of us are still hiding out a little bit, and that’s totally OK. Some of us are in the church, some of us are in covens, some of us (like me) have wondered off both paths and begun creating some weird winding path that goes between the two.

It can be a tricky path to navigate. The peeps on each side tend not to really get your other side.

And as someone who digs both the world of woo and witchcraft as well as being a bit of a Jesus freak it can be tough trying to blend your belief systems and make it work in a way that doesn’t feel conflicting.

So I made this tarot or oracle spread to help anyone who identifies as a Christian Witch, Christo-Pagan, whatever you want to call yourself or anyone who has a blended belief system to help you get a little more centred in your own beliefs and how to stand strong in who you are and what you believe.

You can use tarot, oracle, angel cards, or you could even try out your Jesus deck! :D

This is really just a check-in point to see how things are going for you on your personal magical path of faith.

2. How to stand strong in your own personal belief system

It is not always easy to stand in your power when your beliefs don’t fit in with what everyone else is doing, the message here will help you to know what you need to do to stay strong and grounded in your own truth and love.

3. How to honour and connect with the Goddess/Divine Feminine

You can specifically call in your deity of choice here (perhaps a message from Mother Mary or Mary Magdalene) or simply call on the divine mother. This card may show you how to honour and connect or may even give you some guidance as how to work with this energy too.

As a 90’s teenager I was a huge fan of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I had blonde hair back then and I pretty much thought I was Melissa Joan Hart. And although I miss talking Salem, I’m loving this super dark and creepy update!
