Daredevil Tarot + Oracle Spread to connect you to your divine mission

Daredevil Tarot Spread to connect with your divine mission x

I've been on a bit of a Marvel binge lately, and I gotta admit, Daredevil is my current fave (sorry Danny Rand)!

I feel like there are many parallels between Matt Murdock's story and being a witchy woo woo lightworker on a divine mission.

Like, obvs, us lightworkers and shadow workers (or whatever you like to call yourself) don't usually go out at night beating up creeps (or at least, we probably shouldn't), but the basic gist of going undercover to help the world out is kinda in the same vein.

So grab your Tarot, oracle, New Age Hipster InstaOracle or whatever cards you have lying around and get ready to tune into your own mission!

CARD ONE: The faith that grounds you

A big part of Matt's dealio is that he's a Catholic. That means no killing, and drinking lots of whiskey.

What are the unshakeable beliefs that ground you into who you are?

CARD TWO: Your current mission

What is your divine mission of the moment? This card may show you the big picture or the details you need to know for the now.

CARD THREE: What challenges you

Matt Murdock is blind, which is a pretty big challenge, although it's also the thing that actually makes him Daredevil.

What is your challenge to overcome right now?

CARD FOUR: What your mask hides

Matt wears his mask so he can do work his mission in secret. Why are you wearing yours? What does it hide?

CARD FIVE: The truth of who you really are

Who are you really? When you take that mask off when you get home after a big night out working your mission, who are you?

CARD SIX: How to fulfil your mission

Matt gets confused sometimes about how best to help. Is it through the law? Or smacking people with sticks? It's super confusing sometimes. This card will help you to see the best way to fulfil your mission.

Gurus, Spiritual Teachers + How to find your own way on the Spiritual Path

gurus, spiritual teachers + how to find your own way on the spiritual path x

The following post (with a couple edits) was originally part of a newsletter sent out on 27th August 2017. It had such a big response I thought I'd post it as a blog for y'all. x

The news in India of riots and people being killed in the streets over the arrest of a guru has shone a massive light on the whole guru thing this week. My heart really goes out to all those affected, but I can't help but look at all this and just wonder where we're going so wrong.

The internet is ablaze again this week over the news that Doreen Virtue is giving up Tarot and predictive readings, taking her name off her Angel Tarot decks and moving even closer to her Christian path.

This has brought up a lot for people, and we are holding space in the Spiritual Journey Pitstop for anyone who feels that they need to talk about what all this is bringing up for them with no judgement from either side. However you are feeling about all this is totally valid and important for you to express and move through, but I have been asking people to share from a place of what this is bringing up for them personally, rather than making assumptions about DV, her path, work and publisher, because even though we feel like we know her, we really have no idea what is really going on and speculation doesn't really help us to move through it.

As you may know, I've been a big fan of hers for years, but I honestly, personally don't give a hoot if she burns all her decks in a Christian ritual on top of a hill and gives her life to Jesus or not. (I did that once myself but it's a story for another time).

I really just wanted to talk in this blog post about the whole "guru" thing and how it's failing us, and how we are failing ourselves by looking up to peeps to be our gurus and what we can do instead.

I've actually unfollowed a few people on Instagram recently after I have had in-person encounters with them that left me reeling, feeling that who they are behind the Instagram is actually not in alignment with what they teach + preach online.

We are all very human and we can't put someone on a pedestal just because they have a book deal and we don't.

Be your own Hierophant - from the Cosmic Tarot x

Be your own Hierophant - from the Cosmic Tarot x

I have people message me sometimes saying that I'm their "spiritual teacher" and while that's incredibly flattering it also freaks me out! LOL!

Because I'm just another person on the path really. If anything, I prefer to see myself as a kind of "bridge".

My job is to help you to get from over there to over here, more aligned on your path, more connected to your own guidance.

That's what a spiritual teacher is really supposed to do for us I think, just help us find our own way.

When we put so much pressure on one person, or a group of people, to have all the answers for us, to do the work for us, or to always be on the same path as us, things get dangerous.

We are all on our own journey and what I share with you guys is just where I'm at with mine.

If we'd met 20 years ago I would have been dragging you along with me to my fave mega church, another few years before that I would've been asking you to join my Wicca based high school coven!

My journey is going to change, just like yours is.

You always have the choice to keep following my journey or not.

The choice is yours.

When we are looking for spiritual info there are some things we can do to help us be discerning about someone else's story and teachings to help us find our own path.

And as always, even this list might not totally resonate with you! Take what does, leave the rest. :D

1. Follow people who say "take what resonates and leave the rest".

:P

2. Avoid people who have any sort of vibe that their way is the "right" way and other ways are "wrong".

Dogma is so old paradigm.

3. Read and research

whatever you're into, read loads of different books by different authors, watch videos on YouTube, listen to Podcasts etc. Cast your net for teachings wide.

4. Work with your own energy first and foremost.

When we protect (check out my free e-book for that!), clear and ground ourselves it's much easier to tune into our own intuition and guidance. (Woo Woo 101 starts soooon!)

5. Remember that your spiritual teachers are just as human as you.

A book deal doesn't make you more enlightened and a whole lot of followers doesn't mean you're more connected to the universe.

6. Unfollow and let go of whatever doesn't vibe with you, or no longer vibes.

We are never going to resonate with anyone 100% but if you no longer find someone's content useful or interesting or empowering in anyway, you can just hit unfollow and move on.

My work is moving more and more into a direction of helping you find the answers for yourself

I reaaaaally want to help you do the work that's going to help you find your own path. I'm not interested in you doing things "my way", I just want you to find the right way for you.

You can work with me via a spiritual mentoring session and I'll hold space for you and help you find your own connection to your own guidance. Come join the SPJ group or keep hanging out for free content, but whatever you do, just do what feels right for you.

With love, light and going your own way,

Thoughts on the Burning Times + Persecution in the Spiritual Community

Thoughts on the Burning Times + Persecution in the Spiritual Community x

So, I got called a witch burner.

A couple of times actually.

I wrote a post recently about my thoughts and experience on being a Christian Witch. A lot of people really dug it. Some people didn't.

And that's totally cool. I think it's really important for us to hold space for people who think and feel differently from what we do.

But being called a witch burner definitely brought up a lot of stuff for me.

I spent a bit of time in my late teens in the church. I sang in the worship team and I was slain in the spirit and my friends spoke tongues at me in the car park.

I was pretty gutted I never got the gift of tongues. I did receive the gift of prophecy though. I bet my friends at bible camp didn't think this is where I'd end up with it though.

It was pretty cool times.

I noticed pretty swiftly however, how freaked out and pissed off people were when I told them I had become born again in Christ.

People stopped talking to me, people tried to convince me I was brainwashed. People were just generally really nasty about my choices.

One time a man even yelled at me in Tesco because I was wearing a crucifix.

People always ask me, "what's it like to come out of the spiritual closet?", and I gotta tell you, it was a heck of a lot easier, in my experience (it's different for all of us of course) to come out as a professional tarot reader than it ever was to tell people I was a born again Christian.

Since coming out as a Christian Witch (just one of many labels I use, I also dig lightworker, starseed and Hufflepuff) it's really highlighted just how much we still persecute each other in the spiritual community.

 #giphy x

#giphy x

I mean I've literally had people call me a witch burner.

I've been told not to call myself a Christian Witch because I'll lose followers.

I had someone I really looked up to in the community totally shut me down after seeing my post.

With all the accusations and finger pointing going on I started to feel like I was actually about to be burned at the stake myself.

There is a lot of persecution in the spiritual community.

For years I've never felt like I belonged anywhere in the community. I was too witchy for the Christians, too love and light for the tarot community, too much of a Jesus freak for the witchy circles.

It was the main reason I started my group Spiritual Journey Pitstop on Facebook (which you are so, so welcome to join!) and opened the doors for people of all belief systems to share their paths free from judgement

There is a lot of finger pointing in the community and I wonder when it's going to stop.

When are we going to realise that the finger pointers were to blame along with the witch burners?

The burning times were totally messed up.

Also, many "witches" weren't burned either. I'm just using the term "burning times" because y'all know what I mean. But there were many other horrendous ways people were killed.

 #giphy

#giphy

But I think we've become so focused on the "witch" in witch burning that we've forgotten what the burning times were actually about.

Many of those who were burned were not even witches.

We must remember that these were frightening times, and the choice was often to name someone as a witch or die yourself.

So the finger pointing began.

We can't deny that the burning times were a result of using religion to control the people and some men of the time in power not being able to deal with the divine feminine and women in general but I think sometimes we put so much blame on those in power and deny what was happening in the community.

Sisters, mothers, best friends were pointing the finger and offering each other up.

And I wonder when we're going to stop pointing the finger.

I've done it too of course. I am not a perfect person. I've judged and assumed and accused.

And I think we need to have compassion for those who've been finger pointing. It usually always comes from a place of fear.

But it feels like time we stopped throwing each other in the fire.

To truly clear and heal the karma of the burning times we don't need to bring down Christianity, or Christians or those who identify as Christian Witches, we need to stop pointing fingers, and stop throwing each other in the fire.

There is finger pointing of all kinds going on in the spiritual community.

I've been called out dozens of times for spiritual bypassing, being too love and light, not doing any shadow work, not being spiritual enough, not going deep enough, not owning enough dark tarot decks, not using my platform to post about politics, not reading tarot "the right way" (like there is one), not talking about enough big heavy stuff on my blog and now, also being called a witch burner.

And all this from other people in the spiritual community who don't know anything about me.

Not from my Christian friends who've known me since high school. Not from my Muslim friends. Not from my atheist friends. From other people in the spiritual community.

And then we look outside the community at the world around us and we see horrific things happening and yet we still point fingers at each other. You're not political enough. Why aren't you talking about this?

And yes, being political and talking about big important stuff is important AF.

But if you're not talking about it, that's OK too.

If you're a Christian, or a Muslim, or a Witch, or a Christian Witch or if you don't even have a clue how to begin labelling yourself, that's OK too.

We have all, all of us, every religion, every belief system, we have all been persecuted. We have all been killed for our beliefs.

And often times we've been killed for our perceived beliefs.

Many of those executed were not witches at all. Why do we never talk of them?

Witches often feel as if they own the burning times, and we do, but not alone.

All of you who have ever been persecuted, all of you who have been killed or harmed or hurt because someone pointed the finger or called you out, for truth or lies, it's all of us who own the burning times, and all of us who are here to heal the karma of it.

and we clear that karma when we stop turning on each other and start working together.

 #giphy

#giphy

Just visualise with me for a moment. We're back in the burning times and instead of pointing the finger we did a quick whip around of everyone in the villages and gathered a huge group of people all standing together. Men, women, Christians, followers of the old ways, all walking towards the gallows and the stakes and dismantling them. Gracefully throwing the power crazed leaders out of the court houses and town halls and replacing them with people in the community who were well respected and wise.

We move forward when we decide to hold hands with the Christian Witch next door instead of pointing the finger and throwing her in the gallows.

If this is triggering for you, I get it. Christianity is something many people find triggering for all sorts of reasons, and if you've been affected by Christianity in a negative way I send you so much love, light and healing.

But please know that my brand of magic and faith is aligned in love and compassion and kindness and contrary to popular belief, I am definitely not a witch burner

With so much love, light and healing,

What's up with Psychic Attack?

psychic attack

I was chatting with some peeps on the Spiritual Journey Pitstop group this morning about psychic attack and I found I had so much to say on the topic so I thought I'd put it all in a post for y'all!

Does it actually exist?

Well, like everything in the spiritual world, it’s different for everyone.

I know plenty of people who think psychic attack doesn’t exist, because they have never experienced it and/or give it no attention or power and so are therefore not affected by it.

Kind of like with protecting your energy.

Some people have the belief that they don’t need to protect their energy and so they don’t need to. Other people (like yours truly over here) feel empowered by visualisations of light bubbles, magic cloaks and calling in Archangel Michael for protective vibes. Doesn’t mean we’re giving away our power to the idea we need to be protected, it’s just a different way of working with energy.

If you don’t think psychic attack is real, or it’s never affected you, cool. I’m glad you don’t have to worry about this shiz.

If you think you are being affected by it, or just want to know WTF it is so you can identify it in future, please read on!

(And as always, like everything I talk about, take what resonates, leave the rest.)

What is psychic attack?

If you resonate as an Empath or a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) or even if you don’t, you'll probably be down with the  idea that we can all pick up on other people’s energy.

Psychic attack is when you’re picking up on negative vibes that have been specifically sent to you.

Why does this happen?

I have found that the closer I get to my purpose, the more on my path that I am, the more connected I become with my spiritual team and the more I put myself out there, the more susceptible I am to psychic attack.

Taylor Swift sums this up better than I can, she says “don’t you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine”. True dat Tay Tay! x

Who’s sending me this shizzle?

Psychic attack can come from many different places. Yes, it can come from ghosts, aliens and other negative or low energy that’s hanging out at your place, or around you, but those situations are pretty rare.

Peeps doing bad juju and woo woo on you is a thing too, but again, not very common really.

Most of the time, psychic attack comes from people you know, or people who’ve seen you online, sending you negative vibes.

I really don’t think most people do this with an intent to “attack” you, it’s just that you might be bringing up a lot of stuff for them, negative stuff, which they then direct at you, instead of opening up to see in themselves what’s going on.

Jealousy, judgement, comparison, the internet is rife with it. If you’re on the internet and you’re sensitive, you’re probably picking it up.

There are some people out there who will go the next step, competitors who dislike all your YouTube videos (yep, I’ve been there!) and people who post hater comments. Those hater comments can be pretty mean, imagine what kind of energy is hanging out behind the mean comments being directed at you.

In real life you have friends who no longer vibe with what you’re doing, think you’ve changed or whatever and so throw energetic shade your way, bitching about you to anyone who will listen. Even our besties can get jealous or pissed off and sometimes the closet to us are the ones that can throw the biggest energetic spit balls.

People who met you once and made some snap judgements on who you were as a person and now every time they see you in their feed they roll their eyes.

Psychic attack can be from one person’s pretty strong energetic shade throwing, or a whole bunch of negativity thrown your way can create a collective cloud of bad woo hanging over your head.

How do I know if I’ve been “attacked”?

The symptoms of psychic attack are different for everyone.

There are loads of blog posts out there with a list of symptoms and while that can be somewhat useful, if you do have physical symptoms that concern you or are having some really dark thoughts that are consuming you, honestly, go and see someone qualified to help you.

When I’ve been psychically attacked, I feel low. Like I don’t want to get out of bed, I have super low energy and no motivation to do stuff, especially work or anything productive.

And it’s usually for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Sometimes it’s grey and rainy, something is going on cosmically or I have other stuff going on in my life and it’s like, OK, that makes sense that I feel a little low. But psychic attack usually turns up when actually, things are going pretty well.

Again, if something is up with your energy levels and it sticks around for longer than a few days, you might want to check in with your doctor.

Palo Santo, one of my fave clearing tools - waft around your aura, laptop and iPhone x

Palo Santo, one of my fave clearing tools - waft around your aura, laptop and iPhone x

What can I do about it?

Forgive whoever sent this and send them love

Most people throwing etheric daggers at you are really just transferring their own stuff onto you. People who are happy and doing well in life don’t tend to send bad vibes to other people.

Work with Archangel Michael to remove etheric daggers.

Put on some meditation music, call in the big guy and then visualise him removing any daggers in your back, or anywhere else they have been stuck in. Visualise your energetic skin healing over and be nice and gentle with yourself for a few days afterwards.

Clear your energy

Other ways to clear your energy can include salt baths, smudging, going outside, reiki yourself or grab yourself a reiki, healing or reading session with someone you trust.

Make sure to clear your home and workplace too. A smudge spray can be useful for work!

Look at your own stuff

Sometimes we actually attract negativity because we’ve been sending it out too. Ouch! But seriously, just take a minute to consider where you might be sending negative vibes and set an intention to notice when you're doing that. We are all human, we all do this from time to time, but we can try to be better when we notice we're being jerks.

Protect, ground and clear your own energy every single day.

When you work with your own energy on the daily this kind of stuff just doesn’t happen so much, or when it does, it doesn’t affect you anywhere near as badly. Knowing your own energy can help you realise when stuff just isn’t yours.

Also include your online spaces in your protection rituals!

If you need help with this, check out my free eBook How to Stay Shiny: a quick start guide to energetic and psychic protection or my Woo Woo 101 course if you want to get really serious about working with your own energy!

Light

Turning on some lights, lighting some candles and visualising light filling yourself and your home does wonders.

Sleep with fairy lights on.

Rest

One of the best ways I know to refill my energetic cup is to just chill the eff out. No scary movies though, K?

Reclaim your power

It can be easy to become kind of obsessed with the idea that bad vibes are being sent to you from all directions and slide down the victim hole a little.

Take some time out to clear and recharge, but remember that you have the power to deflect the negativity that comes your way.

Stand in your power and shout to the sky “you have no power over me!” Or you know, whatever your version of that is.

It can still take a few days for you to be back to normal, but reminding the universe of your own power is damn effective!

Have you ever felt like you’ve been psychically attacked? What did you do about it? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below! Or come chat in the SPJ group with us!

And if you are feeling low and need some help getting back to your shiny self, you can grab a reading or a mentoring session with me over in the New Age Hipster Shop.

WTF is a Christian Witch?

WTF is a Christian Witch?

I have a funny relationship with the word witch.

I honestly have a funny relationship with all the words that we use to describe who we are.

I mean, how can one word, or label, actually really explain to the whole world what we're about?

I went through a phase of not wanting to use any labels at all. "Don't put me in a box!" I'd scream. But sometimes finding a word, or words to describe who you are and what you're about can be really helpful. When someone asks "what's your spiritual path?" um-ing and ah-ing and responding with something about not doing labels doesn't really help anyone know what you're about, and when you run your own spiritual business it's kind of useful for people to know what you're about pretty quickly.

Having said all that, if you think labels are stupid and don't want one, that's cool too.

Mother Mary be my Matron Goddess! x (Pic from Google, if it's yours let me know so I can link you!) x

Mother Mary be my Matron Goddess! x (Pic from Google, if it's yours let me know so I can link you!) x

I resonate with a lot of different labels. Lightworker is one I use a lot because it's super vague, but kind of sums up what I do. I try to be a good person and help other people, to me that's what a Lightworker is. I call on Angels and work with lots of "light" energies, so it makes sense to call myself that.

I also really like the term #LightWitch because the magic I make is all totally from the light baby! No hexing or negative magic here!

Lots of people dislike the term because they think Lightworkers ignore their shadow side, urgh, so not true though. You can't do Lightwork without doing shadow work my friends. When you really work with the Light OMG it lights up EVERYTHING

Another hashtag I use around the place is #ChristianWitch

So what's all that about huh?

First off, a Christian Witch is something totally different to everyone who calls themselves one. So what I'm about to say, is just about my path. What you do as a Christian Witch might be totally different and that's awesome.

In my teens I discovered new age spirituality, Wicca and Witchcraft. It was AWESOME! Honestly, it kind of freaked me out, but I was totally into it.

I used to sit in my bedroom with my glitter nail polish covered kitchen knife athame and cast circles.

A few years later I found myself running with a Christian crowd. They were an awesome bunch of people, some of them definitely soul family. We went to Bible study, put Cheezles out at youth group and I eventually ended up in the music ministry team singing my heart out for Jesus on the stage every Sunday.

Yep.

I loved it. I even started looking into theology colleges and had some mad ideas about being a pastor of my own church.

Yep.

I loved the community, I honestly loved how I felt when I was in the presence of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I mean, woah, talk about stuff coming up to the surface to be cleared!

There was a lot of stuff that didn't totally resonate with me though. Clearly, that's why I'm here talking about Christian Witches.

I didn't love the dogma, the patriarchal structure of the church, the stuff about everyone else being wrong.

That just didn't vibe.

I kept talking to Jesus for a while, and then I just started talking to God.

My spiritual path lay dormant for a good few years until I moved to London and had a ghost in my flat. A proper full on, OMG there is stuff moving around my room at night, someone knocking on my door when no one is there, why do I always feel like I'm being watched, books falling of the shelves kind of ghost.

I went to Shepherd's Bush market and bought a whole bunch of Hoodoo candles, a rosary, a cross that I didn't take off for a good solid six months, a picture of Jesus for the wall and I went wild. I called on angels, I talked to the ghost, I contacted mediums, I was baaaaack!

I can only imagine what my new housemates thought of me with Jesus and rosaries hanging on the wall and white sage smoke bellowing out from under the door.

It just made sense for me to do it all.

I do witchy things. But I do them with Jesus and Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene by my side.

I read the bible sometimes, but I think mostly it's a really old book that's been translated too many times to be that accurate.

I call on the Christ Consciousness to help me be a better person, more Christ-like, nicer to people, less of a dick.

I do candle magic and spells with herbs, oils and petitions, but I call it "making prayer candles".

I make potions and call them "magic mists".

I call on the Holy Spirit to clear my energy.

I call on Gaia to ground me.

I bow down to ancient standing stones.

I call on the Saints and Angels for different purposes, but I also call on Lakshmi and Ganesha and Saint Brigid and the Ancestors and Star Ancestors.

I draw a pentagram on my door each night before I go to sleep for protection.

I call on Saint Christopher whenever I travel.

I walk through the woods and make offerings to trees and the Fae.

I read Tarot.

I work with the cycles of the moon for manifestation.

I wear a Saint Michael pendant for protection with a black onyx heart.

The power of Saints and Gemstones! x

The power of Saints and Gemstones! x

I'm basically a spiritual hot mess.

But aren't we all?

Being a Christian Witch is about calling it all in from wherever it comes from and feeling the connection to both sides of the fence.

It's a tough one to navigate. Christians and Witches haven't always had a great relationship. I feel like I'm clearing the karma on that one prayer candle/spell at a time.

I know there's gonna be people out there who aren't gonna vibe with what I'm doing, to you I say go forth and find your own strange and wonderful spiritual path!

In times passed I would have been in a lot of trouble for saying "Christian Witch" like it's a thing.

And you know, it's still only a small part of who I am and what I'm about.

I'm a Christian Witch.

I'm a Witch.

I'm an Eclectic Witch

I'm a Lightworker.

I'm a Light Witch.

I'm Spiritual.

I'm a Starseed.

I'm an Earth Angel.

I'm a Hufflepuff.

How do you describe your spiritual path? What elements of spirituality and which belief systems make up your personal spiritual path?

There is sooo much info on the internet about charging and programming crystals and I really just don't think it needs to be that hard.

I'm a big believer that intention is everything.

No matter what you're doing, whether it's working with crystals, calling in Angels and Guides, Manifesting some magic or whatever.

Your intention is way more powerful than which hand you use, what phrase you say and how many times you walk backwards around your favourite tree (I like three, but it really doesn't matter).

So when you're working with crystals it's the same deal.

Now of course, big disclaimer here, as always, you have to do what works for you.

If you really feel like you need to walk backwards around a tree four times and you think I'm crazy for only doing it three times, hey, go ahead and do what you need to do.

Personally I don't think you don't really need to program your crystals at all.

Ha, bet you thought this was going to be a post full of rituals and how-to's! :D

If you go to the crystal shop to buy some rose quartz you don't have to get it home and tell it that you want it to help you with your romantic situ and self-love stuff. That's kind of like telling your new jeans to cover your butt.

Crystal programming quote

When a crystal comes into my life it usually knows exactly what I need and just starts doing it.

Whether I've been gifted it, picked it up in a shop or searched painstakingly on Etsy for the perfect piece. As soon as it's mine, it's mine, and it's ready to do what it needs to do for me in my life.

I do always clear my crystals when I get them though

Depending on what I feel I need to do with them when I get them, I will either pop them on my bookshelf, altar, desk or in with some other crystals to sort of welcome them into the family. I like to give them a chance to get used to my energy before I expect too much from them. I like to do this with Tarot decks too. Just let them settle in. Some crystals will settle in within minutes, others will take some time.

Now there are plenty of times when you might want to program your crystal for something really specific, and that's pretty much the only time I program my crystals.

If I'm making a crystal grid for prosperity for example, I will get my citrine out and with intention, spoken out loud or in my mind, I'll start creating my grid. Learn how to make crystal grids with me here!

If I'm going out into London on the weekend (which can be cray energetically!) I'll seek out my protective crystals and put them on with the intention that they are for protecting my energy for the day.

That's it.

Honestly, it doesn't have to be any harder than that!

So, what do you think? I'm thinking some of you might be pretty hard-core crystal programmers, and that's cool too! We all have to do what works!

But for those of you who are confused or overwhelmed about the whole crystal programming thing, I hope this has simplified it. :)

For more crystal tips and tricks check out my e-course Totally Spiritual! We have a whole week set aside where I tell you just about everything I know about crystals. We clear, program (or not!), make grids, take baths, meditate and heal ourselves with crystals. And it's all old paradigm and dogma-free! :D

New Moon Magic - 33 ways to work with the energy of the new moon

New Moon Magic

New moon energy is powerful shiz!

I like working with the Full Moon for releasing, exploring my stuff, doing some deep work and big magic. On the New Moon though, I’m more about taking stock, setting goals and putting it out there.

Everyone works with moon energy differently, so it's really important for you to find what works best for you.

I'm just sharing with you here some of the stuff that works for me.

Personally, I always wait until after the New Moon has hit before I start using it’s magic (although I start to think about my intentions earlier!), as I feel that it’s much more powerful.

I go with the three days after rule that says you can work with the new moon energy for up to three days after the moon is new.

So if I miss the new moon, I don’t freak out, I just do my new moon-y stuff the next day. :D But you can work with the New Moon however it feels best to you.

There's no reason at all why you can't use this list anytime you're wanting to call something in.

If you want to come and partake in some New Moon Magic with other peeps, head over to the Spiritual Journey Pitstop on Facebook where every new and full moon we get together and give each other’s magic a mega boost of love and light!

OK, let’s get into this listicle!

The Secret to connecting with your guidance + intuition

The secret to connecting with your guidance and intuition x

There is so much info out in the world right now about how to connect with your intuition, your higher self, your spirit guides and angels. And a lot of it is seriously awesomesauce...

But what if all those meet your guides and third eye meditations just don't seem to work for you?

I tried all those things for a long time and didn't really get that far with them. I did have awesome moments of clarity, feelings of being absolutely guided in a certain direction and some major epiphanies, but these were pretty few and far between.

So how did I get from floundering around the spiritual realms to running a spiritual biz, being able to clairvoyantly see people's past lives and spirit guides?

I started working with my own energy.

I'd been working in a pretty challenging job situation with a lot of negativity and other people's energy flying out in a gazillion directions for quite a few years and it was making me miserable.

When I began to understand that I was a HSP or an Empath and was picking up on and absorbing everything around me, everything changed.

Energy centred = guidance flowing! (The beach helps too) x

Energy centred = guidance flowing! (The beach helps too) x

Being conscious of what was mine and what was not mine was MEGA. It's like carrying around a massive bag on your back for years and then one day actually noticing what's in that bag and realising it's not even your stuff!

Sidenote: I actually think we are all empaths. Some of us numb it or ignore it, some of us embrace it. No path is "right", only what is right for you and your journey.

Energetic protection has been my rock on my spiritual path. Protecting my energy so I wasn't taking on "stuff" from all over started to make it really clear what was actually mine.

I began working with my own energy in different ways - protecting, clearing (because sometimes you do take on stuff, even when you're super protected), grounding, hanging out with the chakra system.

And then guess what happened? Yep, that third eye just freaking opened and My guides and angels just started popping in for tea.

I didn't have to do anything. Of course, I'm still human. I still have times when I struggle to connect, to know what to do next, or work out which path to take, but when this happens, I go back to basics.

Card one: Your light heart

This card will help you suss out what's most on your heart at this time. What is beneath all the layers of "outside" stuff? What is really going on in there?

Card two: what fears need to be released?

Ah yay, here you will find some fears that are ready to be released.

When you do lightwork light is gonna be shone on everything! But the good news is this is something you absolutely can release if you want to.

Card three: what is blocking your light?

What's getting in the way of you being super shiny and bright and doing the best lightwork you possibly can?

How to serve yourself

As "lightworkers" or spiritual peeps who resonate with other labels (or no labels! Rarrr!) we often find ourselves wanting to save everyone, save the world and we don't spend a lot of time focusing on how to serve ourselves. We know that's not sustainable, but we often feel guilty putting ourselves first, but it's soooo important!

This card will let you know how to best serve and look after yourself.

How to serve the world

OK, now you're looking after yourself better you can start to help the world. This card will give you some insight into how you can best do that.

Message from the light

Just a general message for you from the light, your guides, angels, ascended masters, cool ET guides, the light inside yourself, whoever/whatever you resonate with as "the light".
